[Madison, AL – October 5, 2017] – Victoria Hensley, PSIGEN Software’s Chief Operating Officer, has been heralded as an accomplished and prominent leader in the business technology industry in The Cannata Report’s 4th Annual Women Influencers issue. In a behind the scenes video of The Cannata Report’s 2017 Women Influencers photo shoot, Hensley is interviewed about her career path, and she shares her uniquely warm insight and advice about achieving success in business.
Hensley’s multi-faceted career, distinguished by more than 25 years of experience as a software developer and software engineer, is detailed in the cover article. She shares how her diversified and unique skill set was developed by working as a literal rocket scientist for NASA in Mississippi and at Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland. She held positions in the airline communications and business technology industries. In addition to devoting her all to her corporate positions, she continued serving as a consultant and engaging in volunteerism and philanthropic pursuits when her children were young.
Says Hensley, “I was brought up to think that I was no less than a man and no greater than a man. We are all equal— just different. I have always had that mentality that I can do anything I set my hands and mind to, so if I wanted to become a rocket scientist, it didn’t occur to me that I couldn’t.”
She later founded a document imaging service bureau in Southern California, where she implemented innovative team-building and efficiency-oriented processes to create a profitable business model, ultimately growing it to a large, lucrative organization built on PSIGEN technology and tools. Her service bureau continued to grow and thrive for 10 years until 2014, when the President of PSIGEN recruited her to become COO of PSIGEN Software, Inc.
“Victoria has proven to be a game-changer for our organization,” said Glenn Johnson, President of PSIGEN Software, Inc. “We are thrilled that she is being recognized by The Cannata Report as one of its 2017 Women Influencers for her tremendous success at PSIGEN and the many achievements that distinguish her remarkable career.”
In the interview with The Cannata Report, Hensley discusses how working for large corporations (and as a successful independent entrepreneur) prepared her for the sheer scope of the responsibilities she has at PSIGEN Software, Inc.
She shares how her sharp focus on process and structure has led to optimal productivity and innovation, telling The Cannata Report, “I’ve implemented practices to enable people in our company to move as one organism. As PSIGEN grows, we’re able to maintain an agility that plays a significant role in our success.”
