PSIGEN Releases PSIcapture 6.0 Featuring Brand-New User Interface

psicapture news article(Boca Raton, FL)--(May 16, 2016) PSIGEN Software, Inc., the leader in advanced capture and scanning solutions, is delighted to announce the release of PSIcapture 6.0. The newest version of PSIGEN’s flagship advanced capture product offers not only significant feature enhancements, but also a brand-new user interface.

The new UI is a sleek, user-friendly upgrade that allows for a more intuitive user experience, without compromising the robust functionality of the program. Users are able to customize the UI to suit their needs, like choosing an application theme and deciding whether or not to display the module icons and enable certain toolbars. The result is a modernized UI that is suited to the user’s specific needs.

The capture profile configuration has been simplified, which will help reduce the time it takes users to set up the capture workflow. A notable component of this simplification is the removal of the “next” button, which allows users to go back and forth between configuration steps as needed. We have also replaced the application toolbar with a ribbon containing easily identifiable icons and command descriptions. Selecting a tab summons the ribbon drop down for that item, and the user can choose to permanently expand the ribbon should they need to access those items frequently. A customizable quick access toolbar can be added to the interface to make any ribbon item easily accessible.

"For the past 20 years, PSIGEN has worked tirelessly to create the most robust advanced capture product on the market. With our latest endeavor, PSIcapture 6.0, the expansive features of the product coalesce with a fresh, clean user interface to give our users a superior experience," said Bruce Hensley, CEO of PSIGEN Software, Inc.

The goal of redesigning the PSIcapture UI was to make the product more user-friendly and to provide a high level of customization and efficiency during the configuration process. PSIcapture 6.0 accomplishes this through its myriad enhancements, and users can expect an overall improved experience. PSIcapture 6.0 is now available for existing users to upgrade. PSIGEN Releases Toshiba Routing Panel

(Boca Raton, FL)--( June 1, 2015)-- PSIGEN Software, Inc., the leader in advanced capture and scanning solutions, is pleased to announce the release of the PSIcapture Routing Panel for Toshiba scanning devices. The new panel provides a minimalist, easy-to-configure interface, allowing the user to scan documents from a Toshiba scanning device directly into a PSIcapture workflow, which will auto-route them to their destination.

“PSIGEN is thrilled about the progression of scanning capabilities and the future of Advanced Data Capture as a whole. We are revolutionizing how scanned documents can be utilized in everyday industry, with key focuses in the banking, education, finance, healthcare and legal fields. In places where human errors can lead to costly mistakes, scanned data is transformed to usable, measured information in a matter of minutes, with little to no human intervention,” said Chris Brown, Business Development Manager at PSIGEN Software, Inc.

“Toshiba, a recognized leader in technology, has integrated their simple user interface with our powerful Advanced Data Capture capabilities and can now offer its customers a seamless pathway from paper documents to a world-class line of business applications.”

The PSIcapture Panel for Toshiba works by configuring destination buttons with the folders where scanned documents will be routed. The administrator can also assign various security roles, such as Accounting and Legal. These roles can then be assigned to users and destination buttons to determine which buttons will be displayed for a given user. The administrator will also determine the default file name for each scanned document, and a date/time stamp will be added to the end of each file name.

Once the panel is configured, users will be able to quickly choose the destination for their documents at scan time. Once they have done that, they shouldn’t have to interact with the documents again until they need to access them from the document repository.

The PSIcapture Routing Panel for Toshiba is the perfect solution for distributed scanning environments where several users need to be able to scan documents for various purposes. Its ability to provide a fully automated solution from scan time to migration to an ECM makes it a must-have for users of Toshiba devices. PSIGEN Releases Accelerated Classification Engine

Improves Classification Workflows Through Custom Form Definitions

BOCA RATON, FL--(Marketwired - April 27, 2015) - PSIGEN Software, Inc., the leader in advanced capture and scanning solutions, is pleased to announce the release of the Accelerated Classification Engine (ACE). This innovative new feature provides the ability to build custom classification form definitions on the fly in the middle of a production batch or within batch mode.

If a document is unable to be classified, the new ACE feature will allow end-users to build rules for the Classification form definition using things like point-and-click and dropdown lists. They will also be able to select or create new record type(s) for the form, and even build Table Extraction settings, if applicable. The newly-created form can be saved to the global Classification settings on the Document Type or as a Global Classification form definition and then run against the current batch.

"The Accelerated Classification Engine (ACE) feature set has been under development for a couple of years and provides the ability for rapid deployment of complex Classification projects by the average end-user," said Bruce Hensley, CEO of PSIGEN Software, Inc. "ACE helps the end-user create a Classification workflow that is highly accurate and adaptable to the specific needs of an organization. The software learns what it can and the-user quickly resolves any issues, and thus we have made one of the most sophisticated and affordable capture products even less costly to set up and use. ACE will now be included with all Classification and Table Extraction bundles at no additional cost."

Classification is an extremely useful tool for organizing an organization's document scanning and capture workflow. It automatically identifies document types, eliminating the need for manually sorting through document pages or inserting separator sheets prior to scanning. The new ACE feature boosts Classification's current abilities by making it an adaptable learning engine that can continuously be updated to adhere to your business's changing needs.

PSIGEN Releases PSIfusion 2.0

New Version Introduces or Enhances Many Features

PSIGEN is pleased to announce the release of PSIfusion Version 2.0. The new version introduces several new and enhanced features to the Fusion product, as well as bug fixes. Our focus for these enhancements is to improve document management for teams and individual users.

The updated version allows users to break single multiple-page documents into individual documents, as well as combine documents via drag and drop. Documents in a queue can now be combined, and each Team now supports an incoming queue that can receive documents for distribution to Team members. We have also expanded the email notification options to include receiving notifications when documents are posted to user queues, either via new document imports or routing documents between users.

A few of our current features have also been enhanced to provide a better user experience. All PSIfusion document import operations are now handled by the background processing service, and index field masking is now supported with fully configurable formatting. We have also resolved the issue of freezing during login that users were experiencing when loading queues of more than 1,000 documents.
